RULES OF THE POND AND CLUB FACILITIES

Important: All members and guests are expected to follow these rules at all times. These rules are in place for the safety of everyone and to protect our facilities. Please familiarise yourself with them before using the pond.

  1. 1Members and guests must not stand or walk on the pond liner.
  2. 2If a Member sees any person standing or walking on the pond liner please ask them to step off and alert them to the danger of falling in and potential damage to the liner.
  3. 3Members and guests must remove all of their litter and other belongings before leaving the site.
  4. 4Members and guests must leave the toilets in a clean and tidy condition.
  5. 5For Health and Safety reasons boats must not squirt water where spectators may be splashed.
  6. 6Fast boats or those that create a large wash must use the Southern end of the pond (i.e. farthest away from the launch area) when other boats are sailing.
  7. 7No internal combustion engine powered boats are to be used.
  8. 8Only members who are sailing should park adjacent to the launch area.
  9. 9Members must park on the Model Boat Club section of the car park unless otherwise directed by the Groundsman or other Official.
  10. 10Members must not use any flying machines on or over the Pond and surrounding grounds.
  11. 11Members must keep their boats in sight at all times while sailing and must make every effort to avoid their boats colliding with or otherwise damaging other boats.
  12. 12Members using the Club facilities to undertake electrical, mechanical or other repairs, adjustments or other work to their own or other boats do so at their own risk. The Club accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss or injury caused as a result of using the Club's facilities.
  13. 13Members who use the Club's facilities for the reasons in 12 above, or for any other reason, must leave the facilities in a clean and tidy condition.
  14. 14Failure to comply with these rules may result in expulsion from the Club.
