Health & Safety Notice
Amended October 2024
Do not stand or walk on the pond liner as there is a risk that you'll fall into the pond.
Pond Liner Safety
If you see someone standing or walking on the liner, please courteously inform them that they are at risk of falling into the pond and that they should only walk or stand on the grass.
Failed Boat Retrieval
If your boat fails on the pond, do not attempt to retrieve it by going into the pond. Instead, be patient - it will eventually drift to the side. Where possible, recover it with a small fishing rod or other reaching tool.
For detailed procedures on retrieving sunken boats safely, please read our Sunken Boat Retrieval Procedure.
If Someone Falls Into the Pond
- There are 2 lifebelts on either side of the pond
- The whole pond liner is EXTREMELY SLIPPY - take great care when trying to help
Easiest Escape Areas
- Guide to the RED BUOY where there are sandbags to climb onto
- Or to the north end, where the launch area is a straight drop
Emergency Contact
Incident Reporting
